So what’s all this then…? What we’re up to on this blog

Posted on March 16, 2008. Filed under: About this Blog |

You’ve come across the blog we’re building for a Continuing Legal Education seminar that the three of us are developing for the Monroe County Bar Association titled Practicing Law in the 21st Century: Practice Management and Substantive Law Resources on the Internet.

We’re using this site as a place to build pages of links to resources on the web to help attorneys in our area in learning how emerging technology can help them to become more efficient, productive, and less stressed. We intend to do this by highlighting tools that will help lawyers to practice beyond the four walls of the law office and make life within those wall less burdensome and, possibly, less expensive. Some of the major topics we’ll be exploring are:

  • Law office management tools
  • Productivity tools
  • Free legal research
  • Free substantive resources
  • Ethical and the use of new modes of technology

The seminar will be held on Thursday, May 15, 2008, from 9:00am – 12:00pm (8:30am breakfast & registration) at the MCBA’s CLE Center on the 5th floor, One West Main Street, in Rochester, NY. Register for the seminar through the MCBA website or by faxing or mailing the registration form/flyer in by May 8th to avoid a late fee.
